Vote Earth!

Let's all take one hour and think about what we can do to make the planet a better place. Turn off your lights for 1 short hour on Saturday March 28, 2009 at 8:30 and do something good for the planet. Learn more by clicking on the link below. We could use up all those candles we got for gifts this christmas, Just don't knit anything with acrylic in it near your candle.

Facts are useful in emergencies

Progress is being made on the February Lady Sweater and I am loving it. The lace setup rows gave me a hard time as usual. The first three repeats of any lace pattern drives me nuts but this was worse because I had to rip back over 300 stitches three times. Funny when I need to concentrate I have to work on the bus in the mornings I can't fully focus at home or work too many distractions. But on the rush hour bus listening to a podcast I can focus fully.
Moving plans continue. I have been taking things to the thrift shop, recycling and trashing junk like crazy but I still can't muster any excitement for the damn move. It just makes me angry and I don't want to do it but I will. Enough of this let's talk about knitting. The first two photos are of the lady in progress. The third is the tote I sewed myself that she travels in. Nothing is too good for my lady!

Bolsa De Perro Bag

I almost forgot about this one! Another awesome project from Andean Folk Knits by Marcia Lewandowski. I am obsessed with this book I love it so much! I also finally finished up the last of the Cascade 220 I bought at Rosies last year. I made the big Ivy, the Anatolian mittens, the Lapland mittens and finally this bag with the nine skeins I bought. What a great value.
Work continues on the February Lady and my Earth Day Swap presents. Everything else is the same and that is not a bad thing.

Snow Day!

Today we got dumped with about a foot of snow. The schools were closed and I have no snow boots so I got to take a snow day. I took some snaps this morning when I was walking J.R. I also got some awesome snaps of the birds at the feeder. I got my blue jay. N8 left to go sledding and the boss is out shoveling so I am home alone today chilling. I finished my dog purse and started on my Februrary Lady Sweater. Oh I love it!

Oh look it is the boss wearing his Marsan Watch Cap!

J.R. in the snow!

Chubby birdy!

Holy shit is that my blue jay?
